Job summary

Platform Recruitment in London is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a technically focused team developing autonomous systems.

There are opportunities across different embedded areas; the exact focus will depend on your experience and interests, with a strong emphasis on C++.

You will work with hardware, systems and software engineers to develop, debug and optimise complex embedded software, Linux/RTOS features and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Commercial embedded software experience.
• Experience with Linux and/or RTOS.
• Low-level Linux kernel, driver, or bootloader development desirable.
• Networking or communication protocols knowledge desirable.
• Any RTOS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for complex embedded systems.
• Work across low-level software, embedded Linux and/or real-time systems.
• Develop reliable and robust software for distributed systems.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration and testing.
• Debug and optimise software performance.
• Work closely with hardware, systems and other software engineers.
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making.
