Job summary

Rolls-Royce is recruiting a Software Engineer to join the Software Systems Capability function in Derby or Solihull. The role is permanent with a 37-hour week and involves delivery of high-quality software components, from requirements through verification, within an Agile environment.

You will work on model-based or hand-coded software, support DO-178 objectives, and create documentation evidencing decisions and verification results.

Qualifications

• Experience in software design, system and/or hardware architecture.
• Embedded software development and module-level testing experience.
• Familiarity with model-based or manual coding approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop software components throughout the lifecycle to meet DO-178 objectives.
• Evaluate verification results and support defect investigation and customer issue analysis.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to ensure integration into wider architecture.
• Create technical documentation evidencing design decisions and verification outcomes.
• Contribute to departmental capability growth and process improvement.
