Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby (Hybrid) is seeking Software and Systems Engineers to design, deliver and support aerospace test facilities. The role spans developing bespoke applications, data pipelines, and IT infrastructure to support engine testing across Civil and Defence programs.

You will work within the Experimental Systems team on Test Bed 80 and related facilities. Qualified candidates will have a degree in CS or engineering and strong skills in scripting/low-level languages, Azure DevOps, and

Qualifications

• Qualified degree in computer science or relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in software testing and test automation.
• Experience with Azure build and release pipelines.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure including OS and hardware.
• Experience in systems engineering and requirements capture/analysis.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile practices.
• Knowledge of data acquisition and high-speed measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build automated test frameworks and data pipelines.
• Develop applications and data pipelines to support engine tests.
• Integrate IT systems including networks, data movement and storage.
• Support design and integration of measurement and control system solutions.
• Utilise DevOps to perform CI/CD within an Agile framework.
• Capture requirements and prepare system specifications.
• Implement and drive cyber security best practices.
