Pure Resourcing Solutions is partnering with a cutting-edge technology provider to hire an Embedded Software Engineer for Cambridge, UK. The role focuses on developing software for next-generation embedded systems running Linux, with emphasis on robust C/C++ code and middleware components.

You will collaborate with hardware, software and test engineers in a hybrid environment, participate in design reviews, debugging and performance optimisations to deliver reliable IP-based connectivity

Qualifications

• Solid experience in embedded software development on Linux.
• Proficiency in C and C++ is essential.
• Experience contributing to middleware, backend applications, or systems software.
• Familiarity with multi-threaded systems and software performance.
• Rust experience is advantageous; training may be provided.
• Exposure to low-level Linux kernel or device driver development is advantageous.
• Experience with multimedia technologies such as DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB is advantageous.
• Knowledge of networking and streaming media protocols is advantageous.
