Job summary

Technical Futures Ltd in Cambridge is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer (Yocto / Embedded Linux) to work on Linux-based and bare-metal embedded systems within a technical consultancy. You will contribute to design, build and test across robotics, sensing, and IoT while collaborating with customers and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2.1 Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or similar.
• Proven commercial Embedded software design experience.
• Embedded Linux development including device trees, user-space/kernel-space, and SoC platforms.
• Experience of Yocto.
• Real-Time Embedded C/C++ development.
• Experience with Python.
• Broader embedded experience such as RTOS, bare metal, algorithms and protocols.
• Adaptability, learning mindset and problem solving.
• Strong customer facing skills and consultancy mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test embedded systems across a wide range of applications.
• Work with FPGA and electronics teams in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Collaborate with customers and deliver solutions from concept through delivery.
