Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join the engineering team to design, develop and test electronic products and systems. The role involves taking concepts through prototyping, testing and production support, with hands-on hardware and firmware work.

Ideal candidates have about two years of commercial experience, solid analogue and digital design knowledge, PCB design experience and embedded firmware in C, with some assembler familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2 years of commercial electronics design experience.
• Strong grounding in analogue and digital circuit design.
• Experience in PCB schematic capture, design and layout.
• Experience developing embedded firmware in C; some assembler experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits for new and existing products.
• Capture and layout PCB schematics and board designs.
• Select and evaluate components for reliability and cost.
• Develop and test prototype assemblies and firmware.
• Support transition from design to manufacture and design changes.
