Job summary

PERMANENT FUTURES LIMITED is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design, development and testing of electronic products and systems.

This role would suit an engineer with around two years of commercial experience who has a good grounding in electronic hardware design alongside some embedded firmware development experience. You will be involved in projects from initial concept and design through to prototyping, testing and production support.

Qualifications

• Approximately two years of commercial electronics experience.
• Grounding in analogue and digital circuit design.
• Experience with PCB schematic capture, design and layout.
• Experience developing embedded firmware in C.
• Some assembler programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of electronic circuits for new and existing products.
• PCB schematic capture, design and layout.
• Selection and evaluation of components.
• Development and testing of prototype assemblies.
• Writing and modifying embedded firmware for PICs and similar devices.
• Debugging hardware and firmware during product development.
• Supporting verification, validation and design testing.
• Producing engineering documentation and design records.
• Supporting transition of designs into manufacture.
