Job summary

AND Digital Limited is seeking four Embedded C++ Developers to join an in-house backend team on a highly regulated medical technology product in London. You will own a self-contained area of the application from design through tested, documented code, tackling areas such as alarms, patient data persistence, device supervision and service functionality.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing modern C++17 applications on embedded Linux.
• RAII, fixed-width types, std::atomic, multithreading and lock-free or bounded queues.
• Deterministic behaviour and reliability are critical in the role.
• Allocation-free or low-allocation runtime environments with pre-allocated memory.
• Ports-and-adapters / hexagonal architecture, interfaces and dependency injection.
• Linux systems integration experience, including services, watchdogs and system-level fault management.
• IPC and serialization such as FlatBuffers, Unix-domain sockets or named pipes.
• CMake, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cross-compilation for aarch64 platforms.
• Unit testing, code coverage and quality gates.
• Safety-critical, mission-critical or highly regulated software experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded C++ software across alarms, startup and supervision features.
• Implement storage, session management and data persistence components.
• Contribute to logging, audit trails and data presentation functions.
• Work with the Software Architect and other engineers to deliver within a regulated quality process.
• Support device service handlers, software updates, and rollback functionality.
