Job summary

AND Digital is seeking four Embedded C++ Developers to join an in-house backend team in London. You will own modules from design through to tested and documented code on a Linux-based, safety-critical medical tech product.

Work spans alarms, startup checks, data persistence and session management, with a focus on deterministic behavior, low memory footprint, and rigor from formal quality processes. Collaboration with architects and engineers is key.

Qualifications

• Experience building modern C++17 applications for embedded Linux.
• Strong understanding of memory management, threading and lock-free data structures.
• Experience with safety-critical or regulated software development processes.
• Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD and cross-compilation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own self-contained areas of the embedded application from design to tested, merged, documented code.
• Work with a Software Architect and cross-functional teams to deliver in regulated environments.
• Develop alarms, data persistence, supervision and service functionality within Linux-based systems.
• Ensure robust fault handling, logging, audit trails and verification via tests.
