Job summary

Expleo Group is seeking an automotive software test engineer to perform functional, component and integration testing of vehicle functions in Preston, UK. The role operates within an agile V-cycle delivery framework, emphasizing collaboration with the software team to ensure robust testing outcomes.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, executing cases, reporting results, and driving issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience in automotive software testing in HIL, component and vehicle environments.
• Familiarity with verification/test tooling such as CANoe/CANalyzer, dSPACE, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans against project plans and design component and integration tests.
• Execute tests and generate test reports.
• Perform issue resolution and regression testing to root-cause failures.
• Review requirements and architecture to flag gaps or ambiguities.
• Coordinate with software development on testing outcomes and failures.
