Job summary

Battersea is hiring a Digital Engagement Officer to plan and deliver high-impact digital communications, focusing on email. You will engage supporters across touchpoints, drive ROI and increase customer lifetime value while collaborating with multiple teams.

You will manage email journeys, write content, and ensure data protection is followed, with a hybrid working model and opportunities to grow your skills in digital tools and analytics.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering email campaigns across the supporter lifecycle.
• Experience with multi-audience journeys and cross-channel activity.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and ROI.
• Experience handling customer data with data protection best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver email marketing campaigns to Battersea’s supporters across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with departments to achieve high-performing campaigns.
• Write email copy and brief design assets with the design team.
• Plan data selections and handle files per data protection standards.
• Build, manage and optimise email journeys using automation tools.
• Coordinate journey intersections with other channels for maximum impact.
• Use analytics to track performance and produce required reports.
• Support the Digital Engagement Specialist and team with campaigns and projects.
• Moderate online reviews, monitor themes and respond to boost supporter engagement.
• Sign-off emails and review processes; ensure CRM technicals stay fit for purpose.
• Provide risk-related advice on email marketing and data protection.
