Job summary

Pro‑Recruitment Group is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager in South Manchester to manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and owner-managed businesses. You will deliver bespoke personal tax planning and advisory solutions across a wide range of matters.

You will lead compliance, review returns for trusts and estates, and mentor junior staff while liaising with HMRC and expanding client relationships.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ATT/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience managing a portfolio of HNW clients.
• Experience signing out personal tax returns.
• Knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
• Involvement in IHT, CGT, and income tax planning.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, client-focused and commercially minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of HNWIs, entrepreneurs, families, trusts and estates.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on personal tax matters.
• Deliver tax planning and advisory projects including IHT, CGT and income tax planning.
• Review personal tax, trusts and estate returns ensuring compliance.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Liaise directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide commercially focused advice.
• Support and mentor junior members of the tax team.
• Review work prepared by juniors and assist with development.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to business development.
