Job summary

William James Recruitment is recruiting for a Private Client Solicitor to join a leading Legal 500-ranked firm in Hertfordshire. You will manage a varied caseload including Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, and provide estate planning and inheritance tax advice for high-net-worth clients.

The role offers hybrid working and opportunities for growth within a Tier 1 Private Client team, alongside strong supervision and mentoring from specialists.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Strong knowledge across private client matters.
• Experience advising on Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning.
• Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
• STEP, SFE or other private client qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters.
• Advising on Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.
• Providing inheritance tax and estate planning advice.
• Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
• Supporting clients with trust creation, administration and succession planning.
• Working closely with high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners.
• Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships.
• Collaborating with colleagues across wider private wealth teams.
• Supporting business development and networking initiatives.
