Job summary

England and Wales Cricket Board is seeking a Mens Pathway Physical Preparation Coach to maximise the physical development and availability of high-potential players. The role partners with ECB Science, Medicine and Physical Performance teams, England Mens Pathway coaches and counties to deliver elite physical programmes.

You will lead physical development delivery for top prospects, complete profiling, monitor progress and coordinate with medical and coaching staff to optimise player readiness

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience designing and delivering programmes for high-potential athletes.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams in high-performance sport is required.
• UKSCA accreditation or an equivalent strength/conditioning qualification is essential.
• DBS and safeguarding certification, with a strong commitment to safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, with county coaches, pathway staff and ECB teams, an outstanding physical development programme.
• Complete physical profiling and ensure testing and reporting informs development and selection.
• Regularly monitor players using relevant systems and feed back to staff to maximise development and availability.
• Provide coaching direction and support at residential camps, assessment days and competitions.
• Contribute to short/medium-term Player Development Plans with county and national staff.
• Support workloads, priorities and return-to-play considerations across ECB and counties.
• Provide on-the-ground support to ECB events such as Super 4s and Bunbury Festival.
