Job summary

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is seeking a mid-level England Men's Physical Preparation Coach to support high-potential players in the Mens Pathway. The role focuses on maximizing physical preparation, development and availability in collaboration with ECB Science, Medicine and Physical Performance teams, county partners and national staff.

You will co-deliver development programmes, conduct profiling and testing, and liaise with counties to ensure integrated support for player

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in programme design, implementation and evaluation for high-potential athletes.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams in high-performance sport.
• Excellent knowledge of cricket and the physical demands of the game, especially for developing male cricketers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism and integrity.
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with athlete management systems.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel independently.
• DBS and safeguarding awareness and certification.
• UKSCA accreditation or equivalent strength and conditioning qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the delivery of a high-quality physical development programme for England Mens Pathway players.
• Co-deliver development plans with county and pathway staff.
• Monitor player development and readiness, maximise availability in conjunction with the medical team.
• Provide coaching direction and support across residential camps, assessment days and competition environments.
• Collaborate on short- and medium-term Player Development Plans with county and national staff.
• Support ECB and counties to manage workloads and return-to-play considerations.
