Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a Cleaning Operative to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across client sites. The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 30 hours per week, Glasgow area.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but full training is provided.
• Ability to work flexibly across different shifts.
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, kitchens and communal areas and restock consumables.
• Dispose of waste following recycling and health and safety guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain them in good working order.
• Report issues or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
