Job summary

Major Energy Onshore in Gateshead is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join our busy engineering team. You will verify that products are correctly built and conform to test procedures, and you will program a range of processors as part of the test regime.

You will design and build test equipment to raise testing efficiency, assist team members with fault finding, and ensure compliance with quality and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HNC or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience of electrical & electronics testing within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using general test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators and current meters).
• Able to fault find down to component level and communicate with staff at all levels.

• Check that products are correctly built and conform to test procedures.
• Program a range of processors as part of the test regime.
• Design and build test equipment to improve testing efficiency.
• Assist team members with fault finding and the development of new products.
• Adhere to all quality and health and safety standards and contribute to failure reporting systems.
