Prime Appointments Recruitment Agency is seeking an experienced Electronics Test Engineer for a Colchester-area role. The position is permanent, on-site, with a salary of £40,000–£45,000 per year and a strong benefits package.

The role involves hands-on testing, validation, fault finding, and debugging of electronic products before release to production. You will work with analogue/digital circuits and use standard test equipment, with training provided for programming tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing and fault finding experience.
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Experience with test equipment and measurements.
• C++, C or Python knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed testing and validation of electronic products against specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults at circuit level using schematics and test gear.
• Perform electrical measurements, analyse results and investigate failures.
• Identify root causes and support product improvements.
• Develop C++ software applications for production testing with training provided.
