Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Swindon is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the intricate assembly of components, building PCBs, wiring harnesses and other electromechanical builds.

The role requires hands-on soldering, reading technical drawings and following production documentation with a strong attention to detail. The position offers a brand new facility, 3-month on-the-job training in Portugal, and a salary of £30-40k depending on

Qualifications

• Desirable IPC/J-STD soldering standards experience.
• Essential ability to read technical drawings and production docs.
• Essential comfortable with manual assembly and soldering equipment.
• Desirable prior experience in electronics manufacturing.

Location: Swindon

Job type: Permanent

Salary: 30-40k DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday days 9-5pm

Brand new facility in Swindon and 3 month on the job training in Portugal.

The Electronics Technician Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detailed oriented PCB Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team in Swindon. In this role, you will be responsible for the intricate assembly of components and will be putting your electromechanical assembly skills to excellent use to build PCB's and wiring harnesses and other electronic builds.

Electronics Technician Role

• Soldering a wide range of components
• Assembling harnesses, PCB's and electromechanical builds
• PCB Assembler
• Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately

Experience of the Electronics Technician:

• Desirable– Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards
• Essential– Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
• Essential– Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
• Essential– Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
• Desirable– Previous experience in a manufacturing electronics environment
