Job summary

Thales in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to optimise supplier manufacturing processes across PCB and electrical cable harness production. You will collaborate with suppliers, engineering, procurement and quality to deliver robust processes.

The role requires knowledge of APQP, PPAP and Lean/Six Sigma, with travel to supplier sites. A degree in Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing Engineering is preferred, and you will join a team focused on quality, reliability and

Qualifications

Experience in electronics, PCB, cable harness manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel to supplier sites.

Responsibilities

Partner with PCB and cable manufacturing suppliers to optimise production processes and quality performance.
Conduct supplier audits, process assessments and First Article Inspections (FAI).
Drive continuous improvement through process data analysis and corrective actions.
Support new product introductions and supplier readiness activities.
Lead APQP activities and manage PPAP submissions to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
Build strong supplier relationships and provide clear reporting on performance, risks and improvement plans.
