Job summary

ZENOVO LTD in Yorkshire (hybrid available) is seeking a Design Engineer to develop high‑performance electronic products for demanding applications. You will design and develop electrical/electronic products and assemblies, and support their progression from concept to manufacture.

The role requires a degree in Electronics or RF Engineering (or equivalent), practical experience in electrical design, and the ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support testing, fault finding and validation of new and existing designs.
• Work with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, robust and manufacturable.
• Investigate technical issues and identify effective design solutions.

Job Title: Electronics / RF Design Engineer
Location: Yorkshire (hybrid available)
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join an established and technically specialist engineering business developing and manufacturing high-performance electronic products for demanding applications.
We're particularly interested in engineers with solid electronics/electrical design experience, an interest in RF technology, and the aptitude and enthusiasm to develop specialist skills through hands-on training and mentoring.

About the Role

• Designing and developing electrical/electronic products and assemblies.
• Producing and modifying engineering designs, schematics and technical documentation.
• Supporting the development of products from initial concept through to manufacture.
• Carrying out design calculations, analysis and simulation where required.
• Supporting testing, fault finding and validation of new and existing designs.
• Working closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, robust and manufacturable.
• Investigating technical issues and identifying effective design solutions.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of existing products and processes.

About You

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering or a related discipline.
• Practical experience of electrical/electronic design.
• The ability to understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• An analytical and methodical approach to engineering problems.
• Good attention to detail and a practical approach to design.
• An interest in RF, microwave or high-frequency electronics.
• The ability to work effectively with both engineering and manufacturing teams.
• A willingness to learn and develop specialist technical expertise.
