Job summary

ZENOVO in Leeds is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the design team. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle from initial design through prototyping, testing and production.

The role emphasizes hands-on electronics design, PCB layout, and collaboration with manufacturing and other engineers to deliver robust, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in electronics design.
• Strong PCB layout experience.
• Hands-on experience using Altium Designer.
• Good understanding of schematics and circuit design.
• Experience supporting prototype builds, testing or validation.
• A practical and methodical approach to engineering.
• Good communication within a wider engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing electronic hardware and assemblies.
• Producing and modifying schematics and PCB layouts.
• Creating and maintaining multi-layer PCB designs.
• Using Altium Designer to develop and manage PCB layouts.
• Supporting prototype builds, testing and design verification.
• Investigating technical issues and identifying practical design solutions.
• Working closely with manufacturing and other engineering teams to ensure designs are robust and manufacturable.
• Supporting products through development and into production.
• Contributing to design reviews and continuous improvement activities.

We’re working with an established engineering business in Leeds that is continuing to grow its technical team. They are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join their engineering function and play a key role in the design and development of electronic products.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on electronics design and wants to work across the development lifecycle, from initial design through to prototype, testing and production.

About The Role

• Designing and developing electronic hardware and assemblies.
