Job summary

Zenovo is seeking an experienced RF Installation & Maintenance Engineer in Middlesbrough. You will install, test, maintain and fault-find RF equipment, reading schematics and working with engineers and customers to ensure safe, compliant operation.

The role requires hands-on RF, electronics installation and commissioning, with fault diagnosis, testing and site surveys. You will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering high engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in RF, telecommunications or electronics engineering.
  • Hands-on experience installing, testing and maintaining RF equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using electronic/RF test equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Good understanding of RF principles and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, commissioning and maintaining RF equipment and systems.
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults across RF and electronic systems.
  • Testing and verifying equipment to ensure correct performance.
  • Carrying out RF measurements and system checks using appropriate test equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical, electronic and RF schematics.
  • Installing and terminating cables, connectors and associated equipment.
  • Supporting system upgrades, modifications and new installations.
  • Carrying out site surveys and identifying potential installation issues.
  • Completing service reports, test documentation and maintenance records.
  • Working closely with customers, engineers and other internal teams.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required engineering standards.

Job Title: RF Engineer

We’re working with an established engineering business that is looking for an experienced RF Installation & Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a strong background in RF systems, electronics, installation, commissioning and maintenance. You’ll be responsible for installing, testing, maintaining and fault‑finding RF equipment and associated systems, working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using electronic/RF test equipment.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Good understanding of RF principles and electronic systems.
  • A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
