Job summary

Hupsoo Ltd is seeking an Electronics Engineering Team Leader to head our reverse engineering department. You will lead a team of engineers focused on analysis, fault finding, and reconstruction of obsolete electronic assemblies for critical industrial, aerospace, marine, and defence platforms.

You will balance personnel management with technical authority, oversee hardware analysis to modern replacements, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or extensive vocational experience in legacy electronics.
• Experience in electronics testing, fault finding, and repair with prior supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Proven reverse engineering of schematics from physical multi-layer PCBs and understanding legacy topologies.
• Experience with modern EDA/CAD tools (Altium Designer) and familiarity with legacy architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronics engineers and technicians to resolve obsolescence challenges.
• Mentor junior team members and apprentices in diagnostic testing and hardware teardowns.
• Collaborate to map and rebuild modern, functional equivalents of legacy boards.
• Oversee BOM matching and schematics for reverse-engineered designs and documentation.
• Develop bespoke diagnostic test equipment and validate legacy or modern components.
• Approve technical documentation, test reports, and compliance packs for high-profile clients.
