Job summary

Sonardyne International Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Repair Technician to join the Repair & Test team at our Yateley headquarters. You will test, diagnose, fault-find and repair Sonardyne equipment from complete products to individual PCB components.

Responsibilities include testing across a range of products, interpreting diagrams, identifying root causes and ensuring quality workmanship. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales Administration in a safety-conscious

Qualifications

• An HNC in Electronics, or equivalent qualification, with strong hands-on experience.
• Proven experience of electronic diagnostic fault-finding down to component level.
• Practical experience testing and repairing electronic assemblies and PCBs.
• Confidence using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs and power supplies.
• Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Logical, methodical fault-finding and problem-solving approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic competency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, fault-find and repair Sonardyne electronic products across a wide range.
• Fault-finding at PCB, chassis, final assembly and component level.
• Use test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and other diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Record repair and test activity accurately using ERP and departmental systems.
• Collaborate with Repair, Test, Engineering, Sales Administration and Manufacturing.
• Support other technicians and share knowledge within the team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and safety.
