Job summary

Nemco is seeking a hands‑on Production Engineer to join our dedicated Production Engineering team. You’ll optimise how our products are built, generate detailed build packs, evaluate tooling needs, and refine shop floor layouts for safer, more efficient production.

You’ll act as the main technical contact for assigned customer accounts, delivering clear documentation, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring quality standards across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Strong background in production or manufacturing engineering, preferably within contract electronics manufacturing.
• Experience building comprehensive production packs and interpreting customer design data.
• Practical eye for cell design, process optimization, and ergonomic tooling aids.
• Ability to evaluate tooling requirements and provide accurate estimates for new quotes.

Responsibilities

• Build Documentation & Packs: Compile comprehensive build packs to guide shop-floor manufacturing.
• Tooling & Ergonomics: Estimate tooling costs and develop ergonomic aids for safer, more efficient assembly.
• Process & Layout Optimisation: Design assembly cell layouts to boost output and reduce strain.
• Client & Project Technical Support: Act as main engineering contact for selected customer accounts.
• Workflow & Schedule Management: Set delivery timelines and keep projects on track.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and apply improvements across manufacturing.
• Environmental Responsibility: Align engineering activities with environmental guidelines.
