Job summary

A specialist electronics manufacturing business in the Wigan area is seeking an Electronics Production Engineer to support growth. You will act as the technical link between Engineering, Production and Quality, helping with new product introductions, engineering changes, production issues and continuous improvement.

This hands‑on role involves designing test jigs and fixtures, creating simple PCBs with PCB CAD software, and training production staff to ensure smooth, efficient manufacturing

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience supporting the transfer of products from Engineering into Production
• Electronics manufacturing and assembly experience
• Experience with PCB, BOM and firmware version control
• Experience with pick and place programmes and reflow profiles
• PCB CAD software – desirable but not essential
• Understanding of DFM / DFT and production process improvement

Responsibilities
