Job summary

Ecopac Power is seeking a practical Electronics & Power Supply Technician for our Long Crendon site near Thame. You will modify, assemble, test, and configure power supplies and related electronic assemblies to meet bespoke customer requirements.

The role suits hands-on technicians with PCB experience, soldering skills, wiring, and fault finding. Training on Ecopac products is provided; join a growing technical team in a company focused on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic assemblies, PCBs and power supplies.
• Soldering, de-soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly skills.
• Able to read wiring diagrams, technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, electronic loads).
• Knowledge of power supply protection circuits (OVP/OCP/SCP).
• Understanding EMC and electrical compliance requirements.
• Able to work independently and in a small team.
• Electronics qualifications such as HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ/City & Guilds.

Electronics & Power Supply Technician

Location: Long Crendon Site, near Thame

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Electronics & Power Supply Technician to join our technical team. The successful candidate will modify, assemble, test, and configure power supplies and associated electronic assemblies to meet bespoke customer requirements. This role would suit someone with experience in electronics assembly, PCB modifications, soldering, wiring, testing, and fault finding.

What You'll Bring:

Experience working with electronic assemblies, PCBs, and power supplies, with good soldering, de-soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly skills.

• Ability to understand wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as digital multi-meters, electronic loads, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of power supply protection circuits, including OVP, OCP, and SCP.
• Understanding of EMC and electrical compliance requirements.
• Methodical, organised, reliable, and conscientious approach to work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a small technical team.
• Able to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
• Electronics qualification such as HNC, HND, BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
• Experience working with AC/DC power supplies, cable assembly, loom manufacture, conformal coating processes, electrical safety testing, or low-voltage electronic product assembly would be advantageous.
