Job summary

A leading design and manufacturing company in Portsmouth seeks an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer. You will oversee the development and first-build of electronic assemblies, manage production costs, and support manufacturability efforts. Ideal candidates will have experience in aerospace and defence, as well as familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace and defense industries is desirable.
• Experience with electronic assemblies is required.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

My client is a leading design and manufacturing company specializing in power supplies and associated electronics systems for the Defence and Aerospace industries. They are currently looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join their team based in Portsmouth.

Key responsibilities of the Electronics Manufacturing Engineer include:

1. Overseeing development and first-build of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies
2. Supporting engineering with manufacturability of new designs and technology development
3. Managing product costs from development through to production
4. Participating in MRB process, including root cause analysis and corrective actions

Experience required:

1. Surface mount, PTH, PCBA cleaning and conformal coating
2. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
3. Aerospace & Defence experience (desirable)
