Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our AVS team, focusing on high‑performance embedded computing systems used in aerospace and defence.

You will design and develop multi‑layer PCBs, work with PCIe and Ethernet interfaces, and contribute across the full product lifecycle from concept and schematic design through to layout, bring‑up, test, qualification, and production support.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic design.
• Understanding of high-speed design, grounding, and EMC.
• Willingness to develop in aerospace/defence contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multi-layer PCBs for high-speed embedded systems.
• Work on interfaces including PCIe and Ethernet.
• Contribute to schematic capture and guide PCB layout with signal integrity, grounding, and EMC in mind.
• Support board bring-up, debug, and verification in the lab.
• Work across analogue, digital, and power domains.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Support environmental and qualification testing.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical decision‑making.
• Support production and resolve issues in deployed hardware.
