Job summary

Helsing seeks an Electronics Engineer for its Physical Products team to design and build electrical systems powering Helsing's platforms. From component selection to prototype bring-up, you will shape how our systems are powered, connected, and controlled with field-ready electronics.

You will work at the intersection of hardware and systems engineering, translating complex requirements into robust designs while iterating rapidly to mitigate risk and validate concepts.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and integrating electrical/electronic systems in a professional engineering context (aerospace or similar)
  • Proficient with PCB design and layout using ECAD tools (Altium Designer / KiCad) and LTSpice for simulation
  • Ability to interpret complex datasheets and translate electrical characteristics into robust designs

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and validate PCBs from schematic to bring-up (power, digital, mixed-signal)
  • Define electrical architecture of UAV platforms and generate wiring diagrams and power distribution schemes
  • Select and specify components across sensors, actuators, controllers, and power systems
  • Integrate CAN Bus, Ethernet, RS422/485, RF/radio interfaces and ensure robust data/power distribution
  • Define and execute unit tests and contribute to reliability and safety analyses (FMEA) and produce wiring diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs
