Job summary

Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. is seeking an Electronics Field Service Engineer based in the Derby/Stafford area to maintain, repair and commission gas detection equipment. You will join the Field Service Team and cover 2-man jobs, with full product training provided.

The role requires a UK driving license and a proactive approach to servicing, testing and repairing equipment, ensuring first-time fixes where possible and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

HNC/HND in electronics or electrical field or equivalent qualification.
Full UK driving license essential.
Experience in electronic equipment service and repair preferred.
Willingness to travel within Derby/Stafford area.

Responsibilities

Servicing, calibrating and repairing electronic gas detection equipment to the relevant standards.
Tested and left fully operational, with on-site paperwork completed.
Support other team members on multi-engineer jobs.
Provide customer training when required, once experienced.
Coordinate with Service Admin to schedule and meet customer requirements.
Complete service reports and RAMs/POWRAs as required.
Manage van stock and calibration gas for the region.
Maintain PPE and equipment in good condition.
