Job summary

Teledyne Gas & Flame Detection is seeking a Field Service Support Engineer to service and repair gas detection equipment across the UK. You will perform on-site installation, commissioning, and diagnostics, while advising customers on operation and maintenance.

The role requires fault-finding skills, electrical diagram reading, and a full UK driving licence. Based from home, you will travel within the territory and ensure service quality with documented reports and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven fault finding skills and diagnostics.
• Organised with ability to schedule routine service in territory.
• Strong computer literacy and modem software.
• Able to read circuit diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Familiar with Permit To Work schemes.
• Valid full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service, repair and commissioning within defined territory.
• Travel to customer sites for commissioning and diagnostics, and support issues.
• Maintain service records, call plans and weekly/monthly reports to Service Manager.
• Adhere to safety requirements and Permit To Work procedures.
• Liaise with customers on technical and administrative matters for assigned projects.
