Job summary
Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our electronics manufacturing team. You will calculate production costs from data packs, drawings, BOMs, and specifications, delivering accurate, competitive cost estimates.
You''ll work with Purchasing and Engineering to capture tooling, processes, and supplier quotes, maintaining costing templates and providing reliable quotations to support growth.
Qualifications
- Previous estimating experience in electronics/electrical manufacturing.
- Ability to analyse technical documentation and manufacturing information.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of costing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Review customer data packs, technical drawings, and BOMs.
- Generate BOMs in Excel when documentation is incomplete.
- Calculate production costs including materials, labour, and processes.
- Liaise with Purchasing for pricing and supplier quotations.
- Identify tooling or manufacturing requirements impacting costs.
- Collaborate with Engineering to clarify processes and requirements.
- Maintain costing templates and pricing models.
- Prepare accurate quotations in line with company standards.
