Job summary

Redline Group in Cambridge is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join a leading designer and manufacturer of life safety technology on a permanent basis. You will design analogue, mixed-signal and embedded circuits, simulate and layout using Altium, develop prototypes, and drive V&V plans through to production.

You will collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing and compliance teams to optimise cost and functionality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electronics design and development environment.
• Strong analogue and mixed-signal circuit design experience.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools, ideally Altium Designer.
• Experience in electronic prototyping, testing and debugging.
• Good understanding of the complete electronic product development lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design analogue, mixed-signal and embedded circuits for high-reliability products.
• Perform circuit simulation, schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium).
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept designs; support board bring-up.
• Define and execute design verification and validation plans.
• Support New Product Introduction and work with manufacturing partners.
• Contribute to product architecture and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support compliance and certification activities with required documentation.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing and compliance engineers.
