ASSA ABLOY Group in Olney seeks an Electronics Engineer to support and improve Traka and KEYper electronic products across their lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement engineering changes, resolve hardware and firmware issues, and validate prototypes and tests.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline required.

• Experience across microcontrollers, analogue/digital circuits, and PCB design.

Join ASSA ABLOY's Traka team, based in Olney, and enjoy a culture that empowers you to build a career you can be proud of, As an Electronics Engineer, reporting to the Sustaining Engineering Team Leader, you will support and enhance existing electronic products across the Traka and KEYper Systems brands. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for product maintenance, engineering changes, component updates, issue resolution and lifecycle management, ensuring our solutions continue to meet customer and business requirements. You would also be responsable for:

• Support, maintain and improve existing electronic products, identifying opportunities for component engineering changes, obsolescence management, enhanced reliability and improved manufacturability.
• Develop, modify and debug embedded firmware written in C, while also implementing and validating hardware modifications to support product enhancements, component obsolescence, engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Investigate and resolve hardware and firmware issues through root cause analysis, testing and validation activities.
• Build, test and validate prototypes and engineering changes, supporting product updates throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical documentation and support for hardware developments, including schematics, BOMs, engineering changes and test procedures. Has a degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in electronics and embedded systems development.
• Has strong electronic design experience across microcontrollers, analogue and digital circuits, power supplies and component selection.
• Has proven expertise in the complete PCB design process, including schematic design, layout, library management and manufacturing documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with embedded C development, debugging and common communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet or RS485.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, combined with practical experience using electronic test equipment and building prototypes We are the ASSA ABLOY Group
