Job Description

The Manufacturing Electronics Engineer will work as part of an engineering team to ensure effective production across the factory floor. Responsibilities include improving processes, developing lean practices, and managing new projects and product introductions within production.

Working with other Engineers and Technicians, and reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, responsibilities will include:

1. Assist with NPIs.
2. Implement new processes on the factory floor.
3. Support technicians with fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment.
4. Update controlled drawings and documentation.
5. Introduce LEAN improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
6. Liaise with external contractors for planned maintenance or repairs.
7. Perform calibration tasks on production equipment and maintain accurate records.
8. Train production staff on new or updated processes or equipment.
9. Assist with shopfloor layout changes and new equipment installations.
10. Create programs for production equipment.
11. Design and install jigs and fixtures.
12. Research and install new production equipment.
13. Perform takt time analysis to improve KPIs across production.
14. Design and install new production cells.
15. Develop automation solutions.
16. Run pre-production activities.
17. Review and approve concessions.
18. Additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in engineering/production environment.
• Experience in PCBA manufacture, design, and testing.
• Knowledge of automation systems.
• Strong foundation in electronics at the component level.
• Desirable: Knowledge of lean processes and process development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Experience with test software (LabView).
