Job summary

Expleo is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer in Reading to join a multidisciplinary team, driving the design and development of complex electronic systems across the full product lifecycle. The role suits someone with hands-on electronics design experience in regulated environments such as defence, aerospace, automotive or medical.

You will contribute to design reviews, system integration and verification, ensuring robust solutions across cost, schedule and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of PCB design constraints including EMC/EMI and DFM/DFX.
• Experience with electronic component selection, ratings and derating.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle in an engineering environment.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design complex electronic circuits from concept to qualification.
• Produce schematics and technical documentation.
• Perform design calculations, simulations and power estimates.
• Support PCB design with EMC/ESD/DFM/DFX compliance.
• Lead board bring-up, testing and fault investigation.
• Develop verification and qualification plans.
• Prepare procurement specifications.
• Contribute to design reviews and knowledge sharing.
