Job summary

April Quest Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to take designs from schematic to working PCBs and prototypes. You’ll contribute across analogue, digital and power electronics, building and testing hardware and preparing files for production.

You’ll work in a small engineering team, own your designs, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Test and Quality to deliver reliable products on time.

Qualifications

• Experience creating schematics and designing PCBs.
• Practical experience testing and debugging electronic hardware.
• The ability to take ownership of your designs and work well with other engineers.
• Familiarity with KiCad or other PCB CAD packages; power electronics knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line tools, C/C++, VHDL, FPGAs or SoCs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing electronic schematics and multilayer PCBs.
• Building and testing prototypes, investigating faults and refining designs.
• Working across analogue, digital and power electronics.
• Contributing to design reviews and coordinating with Manufacturing, Test and Quality.
• Preparing design files and technical documentation for production.
• Supporting changes and troubleshooting on existing products.
