We seek an engineer with recent high-integrity or safety-critical industry experience (defence, aerospace, or similar), or eligible for UK security clearance.

Role Overview

This role focuses on the electronic aspects of hardware design and test, with an emphasis on analogue and mixed-signal circuit design. The engineer will contribute across the full lifecycle of electronic hardware, from concept through detailed design, verification, and integration into complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design analogue/mixed-signal electronic circuits: component selection, evaluation, simulation, schematic capture, and PCB liaison.
  • Specify bespoke procured hardware.
  • Verify designs via simulation, analysis, and lab/field testing, including EMC compliance.
  • Generate design documentation and technical reports.
  • Support higher-level system design and integration.
  • Collaborate with embedded software and programmable logic teams.
  • Contribute to design and peer reviews.
Essential Skills
  • Strong background in component-level and analogue design (op-amps, transistor-level, control loops, low-noise techniques).
  • Experience with system integration, design proving, and defect resolution.
  • Ability to work within cost and schedule constraints.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in safety-related or high-integrity environments.
  • Familiarity with pressure sensor design.
  • Knowledge of system-level requirements capture and traceability.
  • Exposure to defence, aerospace, or other regulated industries
