Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Team is seeking an Electronics and Control Systems Buyer to manage purchase orders for electronic components, wiring looms, sensors and control systems hardware, ensuring engineering specifications are clearly communicated and properly authorised.

You will expedite deliveries, conduct supplier audits, lead tenders, and develop a strategic supplier base to deliver best value while maintaining traceability and counterfeit-avoidance.

Qualifications

• Procurement experience in fast-changing engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Desirable: motorsports procurement experience.
• Understanding of technical drawings, schematics and BOMs with electronics components procurement.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork with initiative.
• Awareness of obsolescence management and counterfeit-avoidance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate Purchase Orders for electronic components, control systems hardware and related services.
• Expedite and progress deliveries from suppliers and report delivery status to internal stakeholders.
• Deal with non-conformances quickly to minimise delays.
• Complete commercial checks of supplier payment terms and general terms & conditions.
• Take the lead on tender processes for electronics and control systems commodities.
• Develop a strategic supply base for electronics components and control systems hardware.
• Carry out supplier audits including ESD control and IPC compliance where relevant.
• Ensure transactional procurement meets quality and traceability requirements.
• Check supplier acknowledgements and challenge lead times and obsolescence risk.
