Job summary

Pertemps is working with an established manufacturing business in Southampton recruiting for a Production Operative to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Role entails assembling conventional and SMT circuit boards, wiring with hand soldered and crimped terminations, building sub-assemblies and performing fault identification and in-process inspections.

Salary ranges from £26,227 to £30,000 depending on experience, with Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm; 20 days’ annual leave rising to 25

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly.
• Ability to understand product build requirements and read technical drawings.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Hand soldering and crimping experience.
• Excellent eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble conventional and SMT circuit boards in accordance with build instructions, specifications and quality standards.
• Undertake cable and wiring assembly using Hand soldered and Hand crimped terminations to required standards.
• Build finished products and sub-assemblies from components in line with production documentation, drawings and works instructions.
• Carry out fault identification, rework and repair of assemblies affected by defects or non-conformances.
• Complete in-process inspection checks and maintain accurate production records.
