Job summary

Octagon Group in Southampton is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy electronics manufacturing environment. You will assemble SMT and conventional PCB assemblies, perform hand soldering and rework, and build electronic products and sub-assemblies.

The role involves inspecting and ensuring quality, following drawings and production documentation, and training will be provided for candidates without direct experience. Hours are Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly is preferred, particularly PCB assembly, soldering, crimping, cable or wiring assembly.
• Candidates without direct experience will also be considered, with full training provided for the right person.
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00

Responsibilities

• Assemble SMT and conventional PCB assemblies.
• Carry out hand soldering, rework and repairs.
• Assemble cables and wiring using hand crimping.
• Build electronic products and sub-assemblies.
• Carry out inspection and quality checks.
• Follow drawings, work instructions and production documentation.
