Electronics Assembly Technician – Day Shift

Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting a Production Operative for an established electronics manufacturing business in Southampton. This is a full-time, permanent position with a Monday–Friday day shift.

You will assemble conventional and SMT circuit boards, perform hand soldering and crimping, build finished products from components, identify and repair faults, and maintain production records in line with documentation and drawings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly.
• Ability to understand product build requirements and read technical drawings.
• Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
• Hand soldering and crimping experience.
• Excellent eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble conventional and SMT circuit boards in accordance with build instructions, specifications and quality standards.
• Undertake cable and wiring assembly using Hand soldered and Hand crimped terminations to required standards.
• Build finished products and sub-assemblies from components in line with production documentation, drawings and works instructions.
• Carry out fault identification, rework and repair of assemblies affected by defects or non-conformances.
• Complete in-process inspection checks and maintain accurate production records.
