Job summary

MBDA is seeking a hands-on engineer to certify missile sub-systems through mechanical, climatic and EMC qualification trials. You will translate verification plans into structured trial instructions, oversee execution, and deliver high-quality trial reports to support critical certification activities.

Join our Proving Engineering team across Stevenage and Bristol, collaborating with EMC, mechanical, and safety specialists to ensure rigorous testing and compliance in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Experience with EMC and RF testing
• Familiarity with actuators and radio technologies
• Experience producing structured trial instructions and high-quality test reports
• Ability to interpret specifications, design documents and safety sheets
• Experience conducting field and/or lab trials
• Experience testing hardware in mechanical, climatic and EMC environments
• Experience setting up test equipment and Units Under Test (UUTs)
• Awareness of quality control processes
• Handling ESD‑sensitive devices and safe manual handling

Responsibilities

• Translate verification plans and requirements into structured trial instructions
• Oversee test execution and deliver high-quality trial reports
• Collaborate with sub-system design teams and testing experts
• Bring qualification campaigns from paper to reality at Stevenage and Bristol facilities
