Job Description

Microsemi, a Microchip company, within the Discrete and Integrated Solutions Group (DISG), offers a comprehensive portfolio of power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor products. The DISG includes two business units: Power Discrete & Modules (PDM) and RF/Microwave Discretes (RF/MW). Our markets include alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors, and security. We are seeking a talented and motivated Electronic Tester to join our team in Lawrence, MA. We offer a generous package to all full-time employees.

Responsibilities
  • Handle small devices using tweezers and microscopes.
  • Verify documentation and test programs before taking over test equipment.
  • Conduct routine tests on circuits, components, and electronic units following established procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and test equipment.
  • Dispost products based on test results, including retesting if necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of test results, either written or via data entry into SPC systems.
  • Provide pass-down information to the next shift.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Operate and multitask between 2 to 4 electronic test machines.
  • Follow detailed work specifications and instructions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with at least one year of testing experience.
  • Excellent visual acuity for working with small devices.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical operation of test equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and patience for repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with tweezers, vacuum pencils, etc.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to wear required protective equipment.
  • Basic computer, math, and reading skills.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
Physical and Other Attributes
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs; carry 15 lbs.
  • Stand for 60%, walk 40%, and sit 10% of the time.
  • Perform activities involving stooping, reaching, handling, hearing, talking, seeing, and working around others.
