Job summary

eTeam in the United Kingdom is seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer to join on a 6-month, onsite contract. You will test hardware, produce reports, and support the Design and Development teams.

You will develop automation test tools, create test plans for new technologies, and ensure compliance with EMC, Radio and Safety standards. A hands-on electronics background and ability to present data clearly are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven Electronics background with hands-on hardware testing experience.
• Experience with EMC, Radio and Safety compliance considerations.
• Ability to design and execute test plans for new technologies.
• Ability to summarize test results for varied audiences.
• Valid UK driving license and access to a car for off-site test houses.

Job Title: Hardware Electronics Test Engineer

Job Type: Full-time contract, 06 Months

Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hardware testing, producing test reports
• Maintain and develop automation test tools to improve overall test efficiency.
• Support the Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation and recommending further investigation if required.
• Create and develop test plans for new technologies and new products

Required:

• Engineering mindset and eagerness to learn new skills
• Experience using electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, Digital multi-meter, spectrum analysers.
• Background in Electronics.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as EMC, Radio, Safety.
• Experience in using test and validation methodology and scripts to test hardware and/or systems/platforms
• An understanding of how to sort and present test data to illustrate outcome of testing.
• UK drivers license and own car to commute to off-site test houses.
• Experience in working with developers to design test cases for new products/technology (non-essential)
• Experience in summarising technical information with varying levels of detail, depending on audience (non-essential)
• Some experience in managing a test workstack (non-essential)
