Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an Electronic Security Systems Engineer to install, maintain, and support CCTV, access control, intruder and fire alarm systems across varied sites. On-site presence with clients, colleagues and stakeholders will be essential, along with delivering service excellence and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and maintaining CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of systems such as Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Orisec, Pyronix, and Honeywell.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Strong time management and administration skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Experience with automatic gates, barriers, or doors.
• Knowledge of networked security systems.
• Understanding of British Standards, Quality Management, and Health & Safety.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• High standard of personal presentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance visits.
• Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns quickly.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Complete electronic job reports and installation records.
• Ensure all work meets British Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at every touchpoint.
• Identify opportunities to grow client accounts.
• Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and wider team.
