Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an Electronic Security Systems Engineer to install, maintain and support CCTV, access control, intruder and fire alarm systems across diverse sites in the UK. This hands-on role requires strong fault-finding, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work on-site with occasional remote support.

Travel across the UK is expected, with on-call rota and a commitment to British Standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and maintaining CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Orisec, Pyronix, and Honeywell.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written English; strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission CCTV, intruder and fire alarms, access control systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance visits.
• Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Complete electronic job reports, installation records, and documentation.
• Ensure all work meets British Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver excellent customer service and grow client accounts.
• Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and team.
