Job summary
East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Electronic Prescribing Support Pharmacy Technician for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Pharmacy. The role focuses on developing, configuring, testing and managing the Electronic Prescribing (EP) system for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
You will act as a champion user, provide helpdesk support, train pharmacy, nursing and prescribing staff, and participate in dispensary, stock control and chemotherapy desk activities,
Qualifications
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- NVQ3 or BTEC certificate in pharmacy
- Previous pharmacy services experience
- Experience with WellSky dispensing system is desirable
- Experience with electronic prescribing systems is desirable
Responsibilities
- Support development, configuration, testing and ongoing management of the EP System for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT)
- Provide helpdesk support as a champion user of the EP system
- Train pharmacy, nursing and prescribing staff on EP processes
- Dispensary participation, stock control and management
- Operate the chemotherapy desk and counsel patients on their medications
